Three MCU-related questions

For those of you who are familiar with the Marvel movies, I have three questions:

- Do we ever see Steve's apartment in the new movie, or get any indication where he lives? (I'm really hoping the answer is "no" here.) ETA: Ha, yeah, and as soon as I posted this and then left for campus, I remembered which scene takes place in his apartment. OOPS. I think I have a workaround, though.

- What does Steve call Natasha? Does he use her full name or nicknames? Or does he ever use her name at all?

- And finally .... is there an active fic comm(s) for announcing Avengers fic?

(You can probably guess exactly why I'm asking all of these ...)

1) Yes. We see the interior, and I can make some guesses about where in DC he's living based on that, but that will be easier to pin down once people start posting stills from the DVD.

What scene did we see it in, do you remember? And do you recall any general layout details, like whether there's a front hallway or not? I don't remember seeing it AT ALL, and therefore I wrote a fic relying heavily on a completely fictional apartment layout .... crud. (I guess I could just have him MOVE due to publicity/danger from the events of the movie ...)

Forgot to add, The Bucky and Steve comm on DW is i_knew_him.

Also green_grrl on Dreamwidth does Steve/Tony recs. I think there is a Steve/Tony comm, but I can't remember the name of it.

He climbs in the window of his apartment after Sharon warns him the music was left on. So I'm not sure about an entry all. But he has some kind of see-through bookshelf that might divide the living area from the front hall. Wood floors. Plain white or pale walls. Everything's kind of oak and retro looking. And he has a stereo with vinyl records.

I think I'm gonna need to have him relocate in the wake of the events of the movie, at least in order to keep the fic as it is without rewriting the whole damn thing, because the events of the fic hinge around the apartment having an open plan, and the apartment in the movie definitely doesn't.

I could see him wanting to move to somewhere that had no SHIELD involvement, though.

Yes. We see the interior and the exterior. In a thread on my journal, someone says it looks like the Dupont neighborhood.

He calls her Natasha and Tasha and I believe he might also call her Nat once.

Two good DW comms are marvel_fanworks and avengersblend. I also look to umbo, astridv and domarzione for recs and posts. tielan is my go-to person for info about Maria.

There is a bunch of Avengers fic being posted to Archive of Our Own, too.

I had him occasionally calling her Nat and it looks like I didn't totally make it up, which is good. :D That sounds right in my head.

There wasn't much discussion; just someone who lives there said it was the Dupont Circle neighborhood, and that they remembered seeing filming going on there.

Yeah, it was me who made that comment. Mouse and I went to see the movie together, and we both immediately thought Adams Morgan/Dupont when we saw that scene. Plus they definitely did some filming around Dupont, and this interview seems to confirm that it was the apartment scenes being filmed there.

hmmm, interesting! :D I may need to fish for beta help from my DC flistees if I keep writing in this fandom. (I don't think the actual location really matters all that much for this story, but probably future ones ...)

1's already answered. I seem to recall seeing speculation somewhere about where exactly he lives but I don't remember where I saw that since it wasn't relevant to me at the time

2 - I noticed in one scene that he used a nickname but I DON'T REMEMBER WHICH IT WAS; possibly "Nat"? I think he usually called her Natasha though. But don't quote me on this because I wasn't paying close attention to the names thing.

3 - I am the wrong person to ask, since I just go wandering through AO3 tags instead of going to comms

Pretty sure there was a short entry hall that lets out into - presumably, amongst other places - the living room. Modern bookshelves that were either inset into the wall or acting as a room divider but I think some of other furniture was more old fashioned.

Yeah - after posting the above, on my drive to campus I remembered the scene, and what the apartment looks like -- and I think I'm gonna have to either completely rearrange the events of the fic, or just have him move (which seems like the best option, especially given what happened in that apartment) because the majority of my fic takes place in his apartment, and the entire thing revolves around the apartment being constructed on an open plan, with no dividing walls.
