Don't get *too* excited! He only appears in a dream sequence and he's only got one line! But it's obviously something they shot new, not re-use of old footage -- and he's mentioned later, too, as Sheppard explains to Keller that he has to rescue Teyla because he couldn't save Ford. It was a much-appreciated and very unexpected nod to continuity.
