Ha, yeah .... it was also instructional for me, in that it made me realize I need to be more careful to give readers more direction when I have hard-to-follow layouts or abrupt scene changes without explanation. >.> Obviously, unless you're just going to hold the reader's hand 1980s-Claremont-Marvel style, you can expect the reader to do a little work! But if they're having to work hard every page just to figure out what's happening, it's absolutely exhausting. I almost stopped reading several times and mainly just bulled on through because I didn't want to have wasted my money on it.
